ABANDONED HORSE APPEAL ABANDONED HORSE APPEAL

To help, and give sanctuary to, abandoned horses and ponies who remain unclaimed in Stray Horse Pounds and other homeless animals who face being put to sleep through no fault of their own.

These are mostly the type of animals that most people
wouldn't give a second chance to. To us, every life is precious.

If you would like to help with this appeal, please enter the amount of pounds you wish to give below. Thank you.

SMALL ANIMALS SHELTER APPEAL SMALL ANIMALS SHELTER APPEAL

With the increased number of animals we have taken in during 2014, including 150 of the rescued animals we gave a home to from the stricken Rainbow Ark Sanctuary, which was forced to close through lack of funds, the need to acquire additional shelters before the cold weather sets in, is now really urgent.
These sturdy moulded plastic arcs offer comfort, warmth and shelter for our animals. Originally designed for pigs, we have found that this easy-to-clean, water-proof, portable housing is also ideal for our donkeys, sheep, goats and even small ponies, who like to snuggle up inside. These cosy shelters offer extremely good protection from the elements and even have a window which can be opened for extra air flow when needed, such as in the warmer weather.
They can also be easily and quickly moved from paddock to paddock when required.

These shelters normally cost around £450 but if we can buy at least twenty at a time, which we desperately need, they will come to us at the reduced cost of £300 each which will be a great saving for the Sanctuary.

Any donations towards these shelters, however small, will be most gratefully received.

If you would like to donate, please enter the amount of pounds you wish to give below. Thank you.

Animal Investigation Appeal Animal Investigation Appeal

If you would like to make donation to help fund our Farm Animal Investigations please enter the amount of pounds you wish to give below. This will help us to continue exposing animal suffering that is commonplace behind the closed doors of farming industry.
It was through this fund, that we were able to expose extreme suffering to horses in a major Bristish licenced horse slaughterhouse. Thank you

Appeal for the horses and ponies of Manmoel Common Appeal for the horses and ponies of Manmoel Common
JULY 2014

We receiived numerous calls pleading with us to help as news circulated that council officials had seized 49 illegally abandoned horses on Manmoel common, Ebbw Vale, and were desperately trying to rehome them in order to avoid a further tragedy of ponies dying of starvation next winter.

Knowing that a request to take in the 49 abandoned ponies, including pregnant mares and some with new foals, had been sent to all members of the National Equine Welfare Council, we contacted the authorities again, offering to take in any remaining ponies that the other major equine sanctuaries could not accommodate. As we were informed that the other sanctuaries were choosing from photographs which ponies they wished to take, we were expecting to be asked to take just a few of, what we affectionately refer to as the 'scuffy wuffies' that nobody else would want. Sadly, it transpired that the number of horses and ponies who couldn't be placed with other organisations was confirmed as 39 and these have now all arrived safely at Hillside.

If you would like to help with this appeal, please enter the amount of pounds you wish to give below. Thank you.
